according to skip's pharmacy using LDN and tramadol at the same time is OK. This is contradictory to what I have read many places. I have also read recent material that says Opioids are OK too as long as you separate them by a few hours. I would like to get some other opinions on this as it is new to me. Thank you....
They are okay to take as long as you are not addicted to them, if you've been taking any narcotic daily and you have built up a dependency then LDN can put you into withdrawal. If you take LDN at same time you take a narcotic pain med, it blocks the effect of that pain med so a several hour separation would be needed, that IS IF you are not narcotic addicted or have built up a dependency.
As one, that was addicted to Tramadol and told it was ok for me to keep taking. I had awful spasms and pain, when I first started LDN. If, you get off Tramadol wean down slowly!! I was told by a Pharmacist that it was ok to just stop. He was WRONG!!
Thanks guys, I am not addicted. I started ldn and also need a pain med for my neuropathy. I am not addicted and do not want to be. I am hoping the ldn will eventually be enough but right now it is not... alan
I was using ALA but according to some Dental Chelation people (I am having my amalgams removed) using ALA with mercury in your mouth can be very dangerous as ALA mobilizes mercury. This can be a good if you don't have a bunch of it in your mouth as ALA can cross the blood brain barrier and remove mercury from your brain and nervous tissues. My hair test shows me being slightly mercury toxic so I want to get the amalgam out before I start using it again. I admit that since I stopped using it some symptoms have worsened but I do not know if that is mercury damage or the fact that the ALA was actually doing me some good. It is very confusing but the chelation people(who follow the andrew cutler protocol) were very adamant that one should never use it with mercury in their mouths. I do not know who to believe because so many PN ers use it and say it is helpful..... alan
